Our popular community program,
Youth and the Law III, is approved by the Orange County Probation Department as a Juvenile Diversion Program. The program is described below.
Youth and the Law III is a legal awareness and decision making program for youth ages 12-17 located in Orange County, California. Designed to prevent and provide early intervention for juvenile delinquency,
Youth and the Law III teaches youth about the law, its importance in their lives, the consequences of criminal activity and healthy decision making skills. Parents of teens are provided with basic tools and resources for raising teens. This program provides youth and parents with the knowledge and support to make lasting, positive changes in their lives.
By providing an understanding of the role of law in our lives, the consequences of violating or disregarding those laws, and reasons for staying on the “right” side of the law, a comprehensive, positive and meaningful message is presented that respects an adolescent’s evolving identity while clearly emphasizing safe and healthy development from dangerous and destructive lifestyle choices.
This class is open to all youth ages 12-17 in Orange County. Minors are required to attend the program with a parent/legal guardian. Each youth who completes
Youth and the Law III receives a completion certificate.
